Overall, I really enjoyed the interview process at Amazon. The pair programming round was pretty relaxed, and the engineer I interviewed with was helpful and made it feel more like working through a problem together than being tested. The life story round was also surprisingly enjoyable. I ended up declining the offer since I received a higher paying US offer, but I’d definitely consider interviewing with Amazon again in the future

In my OA, I had a behavioral/personality questionnaire along with two technical questions, both of which were greedy algorithm problems at an easy–medium difficulty. In my final interview, I was asked about a technical project I had worked on, with questions tied to Deliver Results, Insist on the Highest Standards, Dive Deep, and Learn and Be Curious. For the technical portion, I got a medium-level graph problem on detecting a cycle in a directed graph, followed by questions about time and space complexity and a follow-up asking how I would detect a cycle in a bidirectional graph.

I had 1 HackerRank OA with 2 questions (1 Easy, 1 Medium), followed by a single 1-hour interview combining behavioral and technical questions. I was asked, “Tell me about a time where you had to make a quick decision with little data.” The technical question involved preprocessing an array and using a heap to add and pop elements.

In my OA, I had 2 greedy questions on HackerRank. The first was an easier Medium and the second was a harder Medium. For the behavioral section, I had a bunch of statements where I had to choose whether I agreed or disagreed, plus a section where I ranked messages/emails. The final was 2×60-minute interviews, with the first 20 minutes focused on behavioral questions around Dive Deep, GenAI, and working under pressure. I also got follow-ups, a backtracking problem, and an LLD question involving designing a class.
